New Look Five?

Anothetr two prgramme related idents for programme starting this week on Five, first we have Robson Green in a display case:

I think that ever since Five moved away from those surreal idents where you only saw the logo at the start, and instead incorporated the logo into the films more they've gotten much better. Very creative stuff and dare I say the best idents on network television at the moment.

They should do a few more generic ones though rather than programme specific.

Five has a new DOG, the circle is very faint but the 'FIVE' legend is bright white, it stands out. Hmmmm doesn't look as easy on the eye as the old one.

They've also got new promo endboards and a new break flash. The logo is much more prominent in both.

And the picture now seems to have an added black bar across the top - peculiar to the Wright Stuff?

EDIT - Yes, as it's not there on the ads. Now why have they done that?

Looks like Five has had the BBC Two treatment - make everything massive, slanty and garish!

Everything is much more "in your face" than before. Looks cheaper... Not so keen.

The updated menu is rather nice, though.
