Is it me or is the second ident a bit dangerous? It warns about flashing images but at the same time the logo turns into a camera and flashes... Bit stupid to me.

That is very true, I see what you mean. I do like the way that the announcer has tailored their announcement to the ident, mentioning the remote control car when the logo turns into the flying controller, and hitting with the programme contains flashing images when the camera pops up, although as said the flash is a bit strange, did the photo BBC Two ident have the same style of flash??

Can a reaction be triggered by a single flash? I thought it had to be several at once.

I don't know but I doubt even a single flash isn't enough for a reaction... It does not set a good precedent anyway.

Is it me or have five started to show only there animation Idents.

Since Saturday every time I watched five they only show animation Idents.

I don't know to be honest, the only programmes that I tend to watch are Gadget Show leading into Hotel Inspector, both of which have their own show related idents, I do think it works to bring attention to the programmes, neither of them scream their programme, but both are different & work equally well in my opinion. I do love the spherical shine that the gadget five has. I also like the hotel inspector in programme pointer, quite nice how she walks on & picks up the cup of tea, clever but not too much.

I'm not sure, but I have noticed they have started using their animated idents which used to only be used before the news, before other programmes (noticed this last week). But there are quite a few programme related idents floating around at the minute, Hotel Inspector, The Gadet Show, The Mentalist and the Segal vs Van Damme season idents for example (with some of those having more than one version).

What's the Van Damme Vs Seagal one like? Ive seen The Mentalist, Hotel Inspector and Gadget Show one but not that one,

I wonder if they have Idents planned for upcoming shows like Farmer Wants a Wife and Flash Forward,

Can anyone shed any light on the 'What Did You See?' stings that are airing around the breaks in programmes generally after the ident & before the sponsor going into a programme. It's an interesting way of trailing a programme.

It's for Flash Forward which airs in the Autumn, it's a new US drama that is being touted as the new Lost. Five are breaking from tradition and airing it days after transmission in America rather than wait till January or March.
