The promo endcaps and menus actually look quite nice. They could have bothered to animate the logo, though! It would have at least given it a bit more personality. It wouldn't have taken much effort...

The DOG is far too low IMO, especially on 4:3 programming.
Just as the previous DOG was far too big so far as 4:3 was concerned, now it's smaller and it's still in the way having a love relationship with Wayne Brady's head.

Oh god they still haven't got rid of them naff american announcers!
What makes no sense is the fact that if they really wanted to impersonate american pres, they would have more adverts, a dog in the bottom left/right corner and no idents.

It's also possible that 'he' is just pre-recorded, that seems more likley.
It's a wonder why they don't just close the channel down, Fiver is good and so is Five but Five USA is just endless CSI and WLIIA?

Even so, overall it gets better ratings than Fiver, so, probably why they haven't just shut it down.
A Fiver/Five USA merged channel would have much more impact - their programming could quite happily exist one one channel. However I suppose these days it's deemed necessary to have more than one digital channel in order to compete with the other terrestrial networks.
You have to wonder what would happen with the digital channels if a Channel 4/Five merger went ahead.

Don't knock Whose Line, it's one of the only reasons why I watch the channel.

I do like Whose Line but CSI and that and a few other medicore crime dramas is pretty much what FIVE USA is.
