Looking good so far.

Beat the Buzzer is first to nine. 3 phone-in competitions during the show to win £500. John seems to be stumbling a lot, and the title sequence is rather bland.

Going For Gold is really quite cheap and horrible.

It's live for one thing which meant they had to go to a break in the middle of a round and do the ususal Brainteaser type viewer questions which was very messy.

John Suchet looks really uncomfortable and talks.. like.. he.. is.. a.. robot.

And they've gone OTT on the gold theme, Impact font and ugly set. On the plus they've kept the theme just re-recorded it and they've kept the buzzer sounds.

EDIT: Beat the Buzzer took forever 15 minutes maybe? I don't think they properly thought this through.

The Head to Head isn't a first to 9 affair any more, they play the game for about 10 minutes, highest score wins. 4 In A Row is the only round that's unchanged from the Henry Kelly version.

I only saw the last 15 minutes of Going For Gold due to work problems [I was working] and I like it. Alright, the logo and the set isn't up to much, but John Suchet was excellent fronting this.
One of the previous "post-ees" wrote "He sounds like he's a robot" or something to that effect, but how else would Suchet talk quickly, and get through the questions quicker?
Mind you, it does have that overnight quiz show look, though.

Good grief what have they done to poor John Suchet. Have they ruffled his hair up to make him appear with it ?

Give the poor man back his side parting, it's served him well up to now.

And a very pedestrian entrance, Henry Kelly was a lot more sprightly.
