The opening promo was fantastic, and as DOGs go for once they've done a good job with it - no real problem with it at all.
Didn't reckon much to the opening ident though, but the second one was better and some hint of a theme there with hands affecting bigger situation.
The break bumper is great, but very repetitive - I think for the break flashes they need a simpler version of it, or various colours or something.
The one thing letting it all down though is the promos - they start well, but the ending is even worse than the last lot - at least they lined up! The ECP graphics OK though, but it's another step back really to what the introduction of standardised credits was trying to avoid - the dreaded credit squeeze.

Very nice new look.
Great lead in trailer, was this the one that was shown on ITV1 earlier that a couple of forumers spotted?
The idents are interesting, all different, I just want the interaction with the logo of the last idents. For example with the shopping trolley ident could the hands start by peeling off the logo at the start? And should the logo disapear at the start as opposed to appearing at the end?
The dog is nice, smaller and neat, and animates on very nicely. Plus isn't the circle present as a transparent black circle so that the FIVE will show up against white backgrounds?
I'm not sure on the trailer endboards as I'd have liked to have seen them do something a bit different, even if it were to do something with circles, or have an interesting lead on effect similar to the five US trailers leading into trailers or idents. And as others have said, I'm not a big fan of the text not lining up, a very strange decision.
As for the credits, a much improved design. The previous design with the credit squashes just made the credits totally unreadable, especially when the did it to imported programmes that had credits designed for their commissioning networks, prime example being Home & Away.
I suppose the new credit design worked with a programme with large credits, but how will it work with programmes that have small credits.
Though initially they seem more readable than T4 and Sky 1, 2 & 3 that have a similar design, even though Sky tend to have a slightly larger box for the promo (though Sky's is a better design with the tilting and flowing of the credits and design imho), and the five credit design is massively better that the BBC's of course.
As for Unbreakable, smart move relaunching with the new programme, even if its just to get us pres heads watching, a very interesting programme, and I look forward to next weeks, and just to add, I'm so glad that the gadget show is back.

Very nice change, and done very corporately. With the exception to Channel 4's channels I do think that a brand such as FIVE is stronger when changed to suit the whole output.
I suppose the strength with channel 4 is that each channel creates it's own sub brand that could become stronger than its connection with Channel 4, but it works well for them, but I'm glad that FIVER has been tweaked.
As for FIVE US, I imagine that they will follow suit to use the new FIVE lettering, but what will they do to the logo?

Not too sure on that at all - has the font been changed on all the promos too?

Nothing seemed to have change on Fiver itself today - the image above was a trailer on Five - and as Fiver's gone to bed on Freeview, I'll have to wait until tomorrow.
