It was in the opening round when the answer Moulon Rouge was given and they stated it was release 10 years ago - or 14 years ago if you're watching the repeat on Challenge.

Thanks.

EDIT : Is this the first time someone on a channel other than Challenge itself has mentioned the channel and not called it Challenge TV?

Fourteen years ago? I bet the current series of Pointless will be airing on Challenge next year!

I think Alexander Armstrong was assuming that Challenge would show the episodes at the same pace as the BBC - but yeah, if they show new episodes every day, without going back to the beginning, then they could catch up fast. Somehow, I doubt their broadcast rights would allow that though, there'll be a cut off point somewhere. Maybe they can only show each episode one year after the first BBC broadcast?

That wasn't Alexander Armstrong. That was Richard Osman.

It was also a tongue in cheek comment, much in the same way as many shows make jokes about being on Dave.

Noticed Challenge skipped the first episode of the 1993 series of the Krypton Factor last night! The two episodes I recorded from last night were heat 2 and heat 3 of group A! Laughing

That would be the 3rd time they've put on the 1993 series of The Krypton Facotr this year!! Rolling Eyes Why not put on some series shown before 1987 - some of which have not been seen by many people, including myself! Or get some rights to show them?

The amount of people watching whole series of anything on Challenge is probably pretty minute. Things like Blockbusters and Pointless which "hang over" are more likely to do this than other things.

The EPG data seems to suggest that Fort Boyard tonight will be the made-for-Challenge series, but a CA just before Winning Lines implied the "original series". It wouldn't be the first time either was wrong.

If they do decice to get any more Krypton Factor, i'd like it to be before 1986 as I've already seen the 1986-1992 series from the days of FTN.

Given that they've chose to show the final series of Blockbusters and the final series' of 3-2-1, I'd say that'd be unlikely.

The Challenge Facebook page has also confirmed it to be Ronin made episodes.

There is a 1990 episode of The Crystal Maze on at the moment and it has quite a different look to other episodes I have seen. It looks a lot cheaper both in terms of the set and the props. I have also seen a cameraman in two different locations, which is something I have never seen in The Crystal Maze before (apart from the outtake videos on YouTube). I wonder if this is the very first episode or even a pilot.

In other news, they played out the 'End of Part One' graphics at the start of the episode of Bullseye that was on at 4pm. Not a playout error by Challenge but it seems that someone wrote to Central about the titles. I just turned over and caught the end. Did anyone see it and/or know what happened?
