Hope we see the Anglia Knight before Knightmare or an Anglia ident of the day. Would be good as it wouldn't have been shown originally during Children's ITV.

IIRC when series 1 was last shown on Challenge it didn't have a frontcap then. To be honest I'd be surprised if the show has a frontcap on it, as being intended for Children's ITV, there was no need for one. A previous post on TV Forum says they were dropped in 1986 for Children's ITV programming.

Challenge have acquired the Nick Weir episodes of Catchphrase (series 15) and Roy's last series (series 14) and are due to air in July.

You should be able to see it at the end, though!

I would love Challenge to show the Paul Daniels fronted Wipeout from the 90's but the full versions, not trimming contestant chat or Paul's talking in between questions.

Would also like to see Every Second Counts too and some of the old ITV daytime quizzes. All Clued Up I can vaguely remember from my childhood as being particularly cheesy but would be fun to see It and things like Chain Letters and Crosswits.

I seem to remember a quiz on BBC TWO in the afternoons involving letters and having to make as long as word as possible incorporating the selected letters in the order they were given. (so if the letters were N, D, E one answer could be incredible as they appear in that order in the word). Anyone know the name of it?

Catchword, hosted by Gyles Brandreth first, then Paul Coia.

First Series was in Scotland only.

Thanks very much. I never would have remembered that and it would have wrecked my head trying to think of the name!

Challenge have confirmed that they have got Series 14 and 15 (Nick Weir era) starting on the 7th of June at 6pm.

I do hope they haven't cut him out falling down the stairs...

Of course they won't. That is one of the main reasons people will be watching.

Indeed. It is a moment of television I never forgot since it was aired.

Good to see. Nick Weir for me wasn't a bad host at all. Just everyone had seen 'Catchphrase' as Roy's. Although Walker was the best, Nick Weir was decent. At the time Barrymore was still popular (2000 certainly) and I think some people were p***ed because Weir was similar to him.

TBH I didn't even think Mark Curry was bad, it was just the crap cheapening daytime timeslot, canned audience, no cash etc...

Nick Weir seemed quite smarmy to me - I never warmed to him as a host. I never watched enough Catchphrase before then to see Catchphrase as Roy Walker's show, I just didn't like Nick Weir.
Mark Curry was much better than Nick Weir, simply because he seemed genuinely nice.
