Also worthy of note - American Ninja Warrior is going to be on Challenge from 9th May at 10pm!! Series 1 and 2!! May is going to be one epic month for Challenge!! Immense!!

Hopefully Knightmare will be put on just once a week so that the series runs through to October - once a week is better than several shows in a row, it'll all be over in a few weeks if that happens Rolling Eyes

Hope Jim North commentates on the American version!

I hope not - I remember him being bloody awful.

I wish Challenge would get more series of Going For Gold. They say it isn't doing very well at the moment and therefore keep repeating series 1, but does any really remember series 1?

I only really remember it from series 3 onwards when the studio had changed, and looked a lot bigger.

It would be nice if it got s9 or below from blockbusters. I can understand challenge having to walk a fine line.

I take it it's along the same lines as bobs full house that bombed but why on earth was it placed on Saturday at 8pm. I'm not sure it's doing any better on Friday's.

Maybe their should do a double bill. GFG & BFH ON a Wednesday night from 10pm?

They have completely ditched Stuart Hall now. Even going as far as to redub Stuart Hall episodes with Jim North commentary.

Worth noting Challenge have announced today that Series 7-9 of Family Fortunes will be back on Challenge from Monday 6th May at 8pm, basically starting with Les' first series from 1987.

Why basically? Are they skipping the first few episodes or something (I seem to recall the first episode was previously excluded)?

Good news either way. Get to see that terrible Broad Street studio and that colour scoreboard.

That is a shame, but at least they all match now. Still, I don't reckon they'll think it's worth doing for the US episodes.

Well it's the series won by Daphne Hudson - it's the series I would most like to see if I were choosing.

Series 1 seemed to be quite clunky and all over the shop, the later series seemed to flow much better imo.

Still, it's more interesting looking back at how it originally was, rather than when it was "slicker". The last episode I saw included hilarious outtakes at the end, including contestants smiling too much, and Henry Kelly moving faster than usual, and in a different direction to usual - doubtless these were not included in later series.

I know that the full theme was only used in Series 1 and wasn't ever heard again after that.

I've now seen promos relating to the launch of TLC, which takes over the Challenge slot.

It appears to be just another womens' lifestyle offering, and little to do with 'TLC' as I remember it from the 90/00s as a cable channel.

Hope we see the Anglia Knight before Knightmare or an Anglia ident of the day. Would be good as it wouldn't have been shown originally during Children's ITV.
