There are some programmes which could justify a new series:
> The Crystal Maze
> Interceptor
> Fort Boyard

I disagree.

All good formats, but I think a new modern imagining of the concepts behind those programmes would be much better than bringing them back. I don't particularily like this current trend of making new copies of old programmes. I'd much rather the producers decided to take the good bits (Crystal Maze - multi leveled, varied, challenging games) and dropped the bad bits (leaping around in a plastic cupboard for an eternity with no idea of how well / bad you're doing as a finale) and came up with new shows.

And whatever they do, don't invite the celebs on to take the contestant places. Mad

You're confusing Challenge for ITV Wink

In no way - and certainly to nowhere near the level of cult status/cringeworthiness/interceptorness could "Interceptor" be remade.

The Freeview EPG says half the programmes on Challenge[TV] have sign language. This is erroneous, of course. The three episodes of Blockbusters, Gladiators and Chain Letters to name three.

It is also worth mentioning that as well as the celebrity Blockbusters with Konnie Huq on right now, they are also showing the original Blockbusters with Konnie Huq straight afterwards too.

I expect no one here cares, but Challenge [TV] are not showing TNA Xplosion at midnight this evening due to 'problems with the feed'. They are also announcing this on air too, a CA at the end of Interceptor said something similar.

They are showing Classic Who Wants to be a Millionaire instead.

It is worth pointing out that this is the famous episode with the pudding shop, so it is well worth joining the chat if you enjoy talking to other men about Interceptor.

One thing I've noticed and always forgot to ask, why has Going For Gold always got a generic ending shot ?

It never seems to change, and looking at newer series (1993 onwards) it seems to be the same as well but it's a generic opening and closing shot ie the same audience on every opening and closing.

Probably something to do with the fact that some episodes reportedly didn't have much of an audience in the studio.

Might be worth mentioning that a very young QVC's Jilly Halliday featured on tonights old episode of a Max Bygraves Family Fortunes episode on the Halliday team.
