Challenge TV - September 2011 onwards

Wow. You must be a multimillionaire by now. What did you perform on Let Me Entertain You? I remember 19 Keys, I remember when it was still 22 Keys. I watched every episode so I probably saw you, however you didn't leave a lasting impression on me. I'd never even heard of The Interrogators before today, it sounds like an interesting concept though. I think there is a US show that sounds similar based on the description I have read of both.

But what is 22 Keys? Did it also involve Richard Bacon or any kind of bacon?

The act I appeared in on Let Me Entertain You was featured in the opening titles for both series of the show. There was a disagreeable moment with Christine Blakely where I asked if she had bought her frock at a fire damage sale. I knew from her reaction she would become a huge star very quickly, become a wag, move network then catastrophically fail. I'm very perceptive in that way.

Yet you have failed to predict or even observe any of this.

I'm beginning to wonder if you watch television at all.

22 Keys was the pilot for 19 Keys. I had an audition for 19 Keys and while we were waiting to go in and play through the game we were left in a room with one of those 15" TV/VHS combis that were once popular which was playing 22 Keys from a worn out VHS. It was 16:9 and we were watching it on a 4:3 screen so everyone was very tall and thin. Richard Bacon was the presenter and IIRC they had a decent enough set but I don't think they had the cube which would eventually make it on to 19 Keys. Anyway, to cut a long story short, I didn't make it on to the show which didn't bother me too much on the day, it was only several months later when the programme was broadcast on Channel 5 and I saw that everyone who I had auditioned with had made it on to the programme. I was the only one not put through. My biggest regret of that day? Not stealing that VHS of 22 Keys.

Anyway, despite him not being there during the auditions process, I blamed Richard Bacon and I have taken it upon myself to troll him and his family online for the last two years.

Shame they're not showing Dara O'Briain in action tonight during the bafta video game awards - Im sure we would have liked his comical persona on Challenge.

It would have clashed with TNA and its not a good idea to pee them off....

No, I meant why have Matt Edmondson linking the show together when Dara could have done the job prob much better?
