A lot of those things did happen quite early on though.

I'm really not so sure this will do well for Challenge. For one, there's the 'dryness' of the series when it began, as described above.

Secondly - there's plenty of opportunities to watch Deal or No Deal in the day already across every digital platform. I think DoND's audience probably already has appointment-to-view programming in the evening. I don't think there's anybody out there looking for an opportunity to 'get in to' DoND - it has its audience and just about everybody else thinks it's a load of unbearable mush.

Incidentally, if they found a way of brining it down to 23 mins to fit in a half-hour slot, I'd possibly be convinced to give it a try.

Any news on when we get to see the other half-series of Blockbusters?

Goldern balls does seem to be doing very well for the challenge, but of course its now longer made. I agree about make its 23 mins show. I doubt that will ever happen.

No news as yet when the other ( Well over half) 108epsoides of Series 10 will be broadcast of blockbusters.

Have they definitely got them?

Golden Balls turned up on Challenge only a month or two before ITV1 dropped it. I'm sure the 'guru' said it hadn't done as well as they'd hoped initially, too?

Looks like Deal is in double bills at 2pm and 8pm - though over 2 hours rather than 90 minutes. I don't think them taking it more seriously in the early shows will be a problem - most the known traditions began over the first series, plus back then they had some traditions which have faded out over the years, like the "blue" chants and holding hands etc. And there are quite a few Deal fans who think they've gone too far with that sort of thing in recent years and will quite like to relive the simpler times.

Sodding hell, 4 hours of this a day? Gah Sad

It's my hope that they're just showing double bills for the launch week and then they can air on this day episodes. I doubt it though.

I think Challenge should aim for this evening line up:

4pm Takeshi's/Ninja Warrior etc
5pm Weakest Link
6pm Deal
7pm Crystal Maze/Fort Boyard
8pm Pointless
9pm Millionaire
10pm Weakest Link
11pm Deal

But much of that audience probably hate all gameshows anyway. These classic episodes would probably pick up some of the people who watch it daily who wanna see these people they vaguely remember. Some who used to watch it at 6 or 7 on the More 4 brothers. And it's the s ort of show people would probably flick on when there is nout else on as it's so easy to get into. I think 2 hours is too much but it will do good bussines for Challenge.

The thinking with The Weakest Link is that it would pick up some of those who still watch it on BBC 2. Also if they could persuade the BBC they could make 20 odd episodes every few months with their own talent.

I wonder if Noel's Are You Smarter Than a 10 Year Old episodes will turn up on Saturdays or the day of the week they don't show DOND? It shouldn't be too difficult to acquire given that it's a Sky show and they seem to have stopped making them.

Smarter with Noel has been on Sky Three/Pick TV and the daytime version with Dick & Dom was actually moved from Pick TV to Challenge when it launched on Freeview so it's possible Noel fronted-episodes could turn up at some point.
Smarter is long out of production after being altered format-wise in the third series which didn't go down too well.
