Deal or no Deal starts at 8pm on the 7th of November in a 1 hour slot.

I wonder where they are starting from. As much as I would like to see it from the very beginning, my bet is they will start somewhere no more than 3 years ago and will therefore be another pointless programme like Pointless itself which can already be seen on other channels.

I also expect them to make it unwatchable due to stupid editing. Imagine if Noel Edmonds says "Today is Tuesday" on an episode that Challenge show on a Thursday. Us viewers would just end up confused so they will have to remove that.

I really hope I am wrong.

I thought Challenge were struggling to get rights for Deal? Still another 'new' show for Challenge.

Deal was originally meant to begin this month but it got held back. Challenge have the all of series 1-5 at the moment. It's a big deal. No pun intended!

Great news for Challenge. The 7th is Monday which is the day it started, in fact it's only a week behind the anniversary. Lets hope it stays on 6 days of the week. Of course a bit of editing will take place get rid of box opening at the end for the viewers competition assuming they show it from the beginning.

I hope they brand it 'Deal or No Deal Gold'.

I'm pretty sure I made a post saying I hope they acquire it before the 31st October, so they can keep it in sync.

How long does the 5 series deal last for? A DOND 'series' it different to the on screen Deal 'seasons' which echo a football season/educational term?

I wonder if Noel's Are You Smarter Than a 10 Year Old episodes will turn up on Saturdays or the day of the week they don't show DOND? It shouldn't be too difficult to acquire given that it's a Sky show and they seem to have stopped making them.

It's the first five years of Deal, so every epiosde up until the series that is running on C4 at the moment.

Should be interesting to see what Challenge do as the series was originally 45 minutes before it got stretched out (more).

I get the feeling the adverts will be longer, so that should take us up to 50mins, I dare say some fillers will appear..

It will be strange to see the original set which, although of a similar style to the current one, was rather bare. Things to look out for; Arched Window Panels, bare wooden beam 'wings', a silver column with the Deal or No Deal logo embossed upon it and of course, the original graphics.

Those are on promotional shots only must have been used in the pilot.

Of course the amounts in the boxes will be black and white and in 2D.

It will be strange (and actually probably quite boring to the average viewer) to see the game played straight. There will be no banker spanking, no 1p kiss, no 1p club, no banter between Edmonds and the Banker. No reference to the East or West wing, nor the pilgrims. No mention of the power five. We will get Edmonds' cosmic ordering BS though.

There is no reason for them to remove the viewers competition reveal from the programme, especially as they have to stretch it out to an hour, but I expect they will.

I'm actually quite looking forward to it now if they really are going to start at the beginning.
