Well Challenge Anneka returns to ITV1 on Boxing Day 8pm
This according to Digital Spy :
"Also back is Challenge Anneka (ITV1, Boxing Day) and fans of the series will be pleased to know that many aspects are still the same. The cartoon title sequence is gone, alas, but the theme tune remains, as does Anneka's trusty sidekick Dave."
I am now finally convinced there's no such thing as an original idea in television.
The title sequence is superb though (love the chord 7 seconds in). I'm now noticing things I didn't the first time round, like the fact that the electricity pylon that falls down at the start - presumably cutting off power to the "old couple" - is turned into a bridge and never replaced.
Presumably they'll carry on the tradition of having to go to some random location for her to pick up the clue?
This is the sort of show we're nowadays used to getting in real time - with interactive streams and suchlike. But frankly I think that would make it desperately dull and hope they keep to the old format.
How long until someone decides to resurrect
Treasure Hunt
? Oh silly me, they already have..
...just flicked over... nice to hear the old theme, and Dave back as well... is it the same cameraman too I wonder? Pity they felt the need to put a stupid film effect on it though.
Did anyone on here see the ECP? From what I saw on the show itself, she just started with "we've been set a challenge"
The first hint of the new series seems to have been someone spotting the buggy in October which is when the ECP went out, as the current series of X-Factor (the studio shows) was shown on the plasma in BT Tower.
