Will this new look take effecr after News 24 or will be starting or at the end of some important show?
It starts on the morning of Saturday 7th. Since weekend Breakfast just has the News 24 countdown, the first ident should be for Saturday Kitchen at 10am. However i suppose we could see some trails in the new style during Breakfast.
I think too much has been read into the multi-culturalness off the dancing idents. The basic idea is to do with dance, but it would be a very small set of idents if they were all british!
But there were so many "British" dance themes that could have been explored - Morris dancing, a maypole (perhaps that fits in better with the new theme), Irish dancing to name but a few. There was an over-emphasis on the multicultural.

Yes because a whole set of idents covering lots of diffrent types of folk dancing would give the right image about BBC1!

Carry on with the ideas, we're listening...
I love how you make out you work for the BBC.
I love how you make out you're a... wait for it... consultant surgeon.

Oh yes, damn Marksi.
Of course he is just another pointless poster lying about his job. Oh, no, wait a minute; Marksi is actually a very interesting, informed and credible poster. Who has in the past proven who he is.
Whereas Joe, your posts are largely banal, and when asked to provide evidence of what you are saying is true, can't seem to do so.

The idents look really good. They are going to mean a whole new style of voicing over BBC One idents, in that the announcer is going to have to wait for the form up to actually speak - they've only ever really had to do this before with the baloon idents which resolved a lot faster than these..
The music reminds me too much of the Meteor jingle (annoying advertising jingle by an Irish mobile phone company). That won't mean anything to the vast majority of BBC One's viewership though, I guess its something us on this side of the water will have to put up with (unless Meteor themselves notice and hopefully change their jingle...)
For some reason, the animation of the logo reminds me of the last-but-one Top of The Pops title sequence.
The only concern I have now is that Red Bee's new RTE One idents will feature people doing things in the shape of crosses...

Rubbish. Most of my posts are not "banal", and I've said that I'm an orthapeadic surgeon and have been for 12 years. What kind of "proof" do you want? I'm certainly not giving out my name.
Btw, I was winding him up re the BBC - the comment was not to be taken literally.
