When I say front page I mean the actual front page. You know, the real world - paper thingy, called The Guardian!

Oh yes, I saw this too.

I may be wrong, but it does suggest the relaunch will be happening earlier than 7 October. Unless there's going to be a big advertising campaign surrounding the new look like 'The One' for the dancers.

I'd still go for October 7th. Looking forward to tomorrow, although it won't be quite the same as it was, for example, in 97 when i remember waking up early to see all the new idents - not just the balloons, but new look CBBC - everything. That was exciting! Having them on the internet days before dosen't have quite the same excitment... I'm sad i know Embarassed

Wonder if there's any opportunity for those badly edited stings to get an airing?!

Not sure I ever saw those.

I certainly never saw any footage of stings, be it on TV or online.

I'm guessing they were just segments from the idents, as the BBC TWO lot were? If they were no different to a slice of the ident sequence, then maybe it's not surprising they aren't in-use.

You'd have thought all stings would be created with a different camera angle on the action and a special shortened 'jingle' to fit at least, rather than just lifted from something else, same sound, same view.

The interclips were, and occasionally still are, used on BBC 1 NI. There are three different versions for Capoera, two for Tap Dogs, one each for Haka, Hip Hop, Skateboarders, Ballet. I think that is all of them.

It'd be nice to see a glimpse of these before the relaunch though I'm not sure they will be as good as the BBC Two stings (which weren't that spectacular anyway)

will they be on the website at midnight or is it going to be posted sometime in the day?

I'd imagine sometime during the day. Did they say whether it was just pictures or videos?

i think it will be pictures?

do you think the bbc will add some information and pictures in a press release tommorow.
i would of thought the bbc would release the infirmation first before other websites do?

Is there a reason why you keep ending statements with question marks?

I was more distracted by the fact that he's edited twice, and still has, "would of" in the sentence.

Now we've had a thread about it, I'm seeing it all over the place.

hiya,
sorry everyone i write my messages very quick i wrote the above in about 30 seconds.
the reason why i have edited it twice is because i was editing the biggest mistakes in the message instead of the really small ones.

anyway can we get back to the topic instead of picking problems with my posts.

Well we can always rely on you, Gav, when it comes to nitpicking over people's grammar. Wink

Maybe it would be an idea to watch the newspaper reviews on the news channels to see if they cover it. Do you think the BBC website would have something at midnight?

Quite how are the newspapers supposed to react before the press release, is released?

Besides I doubt the press will be as interested as us in the news, and is the sort of thing that will receive a small mention if anything; most likely at a time when the newspapers have got 1/4 of a page to fill; Media Guardian excepted.

The newspapers wouldn't be able to tell you anything other than the information contained in the press release, unless (and this is highly unlikely) the reporter actually decided to do any research.

Just wait until sometime tomorrow; you never know, when it is published, it might even get a mention here!
