New look for BBC1

Could this be a precurser to the series starting the next day? There is no programme description.

Whoops -- the anno on BBC ONE for Weatherview, went out twice just now; once before the Weather itself, and the same again into the next programme (Are We Being Served).

Has any one else noticed that on the Robin Hood trails the shade of red used in the BBC ONE box is slightly brighter? A clue could be in there.

Well, as suspected, Robin Hood will be starting on 7 October.

I noticed that too. I'm not sure that making the red brighter would be a good move for the new look. I'd make it darker myself, like the colour used for the shutters on the local radio promos.

DigiGuide now has listings for BBC ONE for Saturday 7th October (listings run up until Friday 13th October).

So if the new BBC ONE idents are launching on Sat 7th Oct:

- The last dancer ident would air at 1.10am on Sat 7th Oct.

- The first new ident would air at 10am on Sat 7th Oct? I take it there isnt an ident at 6am at the start of Breakfast?

There is during the week but then weekend breakfast is a different kettle of fish. How you get fish in a kettle without human intervention is anyones business!

No there are no idents into Breakfast on Saturday, Sunday or public holidays at 6am, instead taking the N24 Countdown.



AIUI the idents would more than likely launch before the primetime programming therefore the last ident of the dancers would be into the football and the new idents launching before whatever programme follows (Robin Hood, SCD etc.), which we don't yet know because the schedules aren't yet out.
Alternatively they could launch ahead of the football with the last dancer ident being into the news (perhaps a way of leaving as they began with Capoeira).
I would be highly surprised if Saturday Kitchen at 10am was the programme which the idents were launched into.

Whilst I get remember any rebrands past the 1985 COW launch when that was launched at 7pm. The rest of the rebrands in 1991/1997/2002 have all happened in the morning. The only time they have shown new idents in the evenings for a rebrand is at Christmas,

Don't forget that the dance era was launched at around 9am on Good Friday 2002.

Yeah I noticed that. The trail was next to an ident, and I saw thata the shade was lighter.

Yep there's more here, we definitely know the football will be on at 4.45pm so it could be a big night ratings wise for BBC1.
