Ballet shown on Wales yet again, before Aberfan; very fitting actually.

Friday 6th does seem like a sensible date for Network to show it, right before N24. Shame they don't always make mention of these changes, but hopefully they will do on this occasion.

I just hope they have a different announcer on Network than the one who was duty last thing 28 March 2002...

IMO the most fitting way to end the idents is as they began with Capoeira (in full) with an announcement commenting on the new look by either Duncan or Dean.

It would be nice to see a return of Tai Chi Reflection and Haka before the change as well.

We can always hope I suppose...

Apparantley BBC1 have withdrawn this ident because many of the viewers (including myself) have found this dizzy. The explanation can also be found on The TV Room.

Is that said with knowledge, or on analysis of the way TV Pres is moving tvarksouthwest ?

We've had some pretty limp rebrands lately, why should this one be any different?

Not worth starting a new thread I don't think, but why is the BBC ONE homepage currently showing "Due to breaking news, the BBC ONE schedule is subject to change". What breaking news?

It's been like that for a long time - i think its been there since there was all that airport chaos in August.

I see the 'BBC ONE Sessions' on now, used the horizontal style of BBC ONE logo at the start; a reminder of (IMO) how much better it looked compared to the boxes we see now.

I hope there's a dumping of the box, and a logo orientation change, but again I'm not sure it'll happen. If they change the 'ONE' to a different font, it'll take some getting used to but I think Gill Sans is still fine, given that it is the 'BBC' logo style font.

To those wanting the return of the globe and I am one of them, I urge you not to get too hopeful.

Likewise anyone who dislikes custom fonts.

I doubt the globe is coming back.

Red Bee aren't good at coming up with original idents but are brilliant at reworking idents created by other people like the Morris Dancing 2's.

Just found out that England vs Macedonia will be live on BBC1, Saturday 7th October 5pm. We know it's the date Strictly Come Dancing starts and probably when Robin Hood starts too so i'd be mighty surprised if that's not the day we get new idents.

Robin Hood definetly starts on the 7th October.

How can it? If Footie is due to start at 5.00pm, this won't finish until 7.45pm and then the lottery show will be on followed by Casualty, followed by possibly a late movie or adult one off drama such as "London" that is due to air this Autumn. This could also mean the 7th October theory could be thrown out of the window. If Footie is on at 5pm then the evening schedule would look like this if your assumption that Come Dancing and Robin Hood starts:
5.00pm Football
7.45 Strictly Come Dancing
9.00 The Lottery Show
9.40 Robin Hood
10.40 Casualty
11.30 BBC News
11.50 Strictly Come Dancing Results
12.15 Late Movie

Looks a bit unlikely. Unless of course the footie is in the afternoon.

Otherwise the schedule will be more like this:
5.00pm Football
7.45 The Lottery Show
8.25 Casualty
9.15 TBA
10.15 BBC News, Weather
10.35 FILM: TBA

Does anyone else agree with me? With the football on the 7th October theory is now way less likely to be true. Now, 14th October seems more likely.
