The only show I can think of that takes a "summer break" of sorts is Casualty. Certinally, the American idea of "seasons" does not exist over here in any real sense.

Well I would say the 'Autumn season' would start at the beginning of September - the new programmes that are part of the season start then. For example if you look at BBC1's autumn press pack the first show from that, Who Do you think you are?, started on 6th September.

When discussing the BBC ONE red theme and logo, DS member "Lone Ranger" stated that:

"They have changed the colour from red back to the bold white, I know that much."

Whether this statement is true or not remains to be seen....

They're probably basing that assumption on the boxless logo on the Spooks trail, I highly doubt anyone at DS is going to have concrete info before TVF will.

I've just gone back through an earlier taping of Wales I left running, and found this before Diagnosis Murder ; what the?!

Although, I'd really like to see the withdrawn idents (the above Ballet, plus Haka) return proper on BBC ONE for a few days before the dancers are retired. Even if it's just in London, or a particular Nation like NI that chooses to air them.

Maybe the announcer in question knows that this is his last chance to play the rarely used symbols of the current batch before the revamp next month!

Indeed. This is the first sign that the revamp is indeed not a million miles away from now.

Does this happen a lot with continuity teams wanting to give the old idents one last hurrah before a new set comes in? The only time I got the tip-off was when on this site. I found out that LWT were showing their old idents for one last time and what times to tune in as well.

I was so greatful to TV Forum for that and I've been singing its praises to people ever since.
