Maybe we get more information about the new look at this year Edinburgh TV Festival Confused: Confused:

Anyone heard/read anything yet?

If anyone did, I think they'd post it. Patience is not just a card game.

According to the festival schedule, BBC1 controller Peter Fincham gave his speech yesterday.....so if he had said anything about the idents surely we would have heard by now?

Unfortunately he said nothing and even more unfortunately the reporters in attendance didn't ask. I know patience is a virtue but I'm dying for some information.

Complete guess but I'd go for September 18th.

It's a monday and will probably mark the start of the bulk of the autumn season.

Spooks is likely to start that night too.

I think it'll be earlier in September on a Saturday rather than later, but I think your date does make sense. The day the BBC tend to launch new idents doesn't follow any pattern so an educated guess can't be made.

I was told Spooks would begin on the 24th?

The DVD of series 4 should go on sale on the 1st

A good launch day would be just before the first episode of Robin Hood.

That's ages away though isn't it?

I believe it's due to start next month.

Of course, it's just my guess. But Robin Hood is the centrepiece of BBC1's Autumn lineup. So it would make some sense.

That may be never, unless the Hungarian criminals who have stolen some of the master copies of Robin Hood, get paid the ransom money they are demanding.

Well, I personally don't think there is going to be a rebrand at all this autumn. Who am I to say, I know, but there just hasn't been enough information to convinve me.

If I had my way, I would leave it for another year, and introduce them on the BBC logo's tenth anniversary in just over 13 months time.

Actually, I take back everything I just said above. According to my calculations (yes my, so I may well be wrong), the dancers will have been going longer than the ballon on SEPTEMBER 22ND.

So it may well be in mid to late September - if there's any respect for the ballons. Smile
