Wow, I never knew when I started this thread back in May that it would reach 118 pages and become the place from all the chit chat about the new look. It has been a great read so thanks to everyone who has contribution.

Wow, a three and a half minute montage of idents?! Absolutely superb! As mentioned, god knows what non pres people thought of that! Great to see Ballet - I don't think I actually ever saw it 'live' and not in the good quality I got it in. Well done to everyone involved in making that possible. Wouldn't want to dwell but the Balloon really should have had something similar. Oh well. NI's sadly did seem a bit rushed to get to 3am - it looked chopped at the start and the end. Hope the Nations version can be put online as well. Don't suppose BBC Two made any mention at 1.10am into Ceefax?
Just saw the new trailer design before going to work this morning. BBC One animates on at the bottom centre of the screen (back in the centre!) until the video effect at the end, same design as that caption linked to the other week, with BBC One again animating in the middle of the screen.
That has to have arguably been the best signoff of an identity ever. Brilliant.

I did stay up last night to watch the fantastic montage and...I'm so going to miss those dancers
Well, not really, but it's strange, considering I still dislike those idents as much as I did when they first came in, because they have become so familiar that when they finally do get the chop a montage like that can still make you feel slightly sad about them going!
But anyway, roll on the circles!!

That was great they made much more of it today than they did for the balloon. Look forward to 10am. Oh and just to confirm Scotland took network for the final N24 handover.
