Thanks for that - brilliant quality caps. Although at work on the night shift, missed the montage & will be asleep (kids permitting) at 10am, but looking forward to the new idents which look great.

Looking back, already, I think the "Dancer's" were actually given a wee bit of a raw deal - compared to some of the trash thats ended up on ITV1 over the past few years, the Dancers provided quite an image, mainly I think due to the catchy wee tune in the background. Ive heard a couple of pres-less people hum that tune to themselves, and I think a number of the idents; Skateboarders, the Break Dancers one, Tap Dogs, and Ballet included - were all actually good idents.

I have a feeling this will be a case of not knowing what you've got, till it has past.

Well now for completeness, and after having seen what network did, Wales on 1 did pretty much the same but not.

The end of the dancers was announced over quite a long Ballet ident, then the montage of the others [in a different order] with the Festival and Tumbler soundtracks overlaid -- and finally a full local version of Capoeira with Steve Dutfield mentioning coming "full circle".

Not quite as long as network's, but better [naturally].

There is 1 thing I liked about the dancers and that was the music.

Thank you! I was beginning to think nobody was watching!

Lovely cap. That ballet ident really didn't get enough praise, but I suppose the matter is academic now. It was bueatifully done, that's for sure.

I don't think i like many of the new idents. They could have had a CGI red ribbon flying through a different part of the country in each ident before landing and had the BBC ONE text fly on.

Yes, I must agree, the final close down last night / early this morning was great. Goodbye old idents and hello to new ones, which will be launching just before 10am this morning!
