New look for BBC1

Well I am hoping however they design the box [if they keep a box] that promos can still be locally branded even if the box changes.

Two I have seen today on BBC Wales are network branded because the box changes during it [as it seems to with football matches where it changes to a Five Live box] or something happens to it -- which is a bit rubbish.

Personally I would prefer a complete re-launch of all the graphics to co-incide with the new charter on 1-Jan-2007.

I agree the whole graphics package should change. Do you remember when BBC1 first relaunched and they used lots of white? Awful! The red is better but I'm not sure they should have a standard colour scheme (just like BBC2 at the moment) because it's limiting.

Well they certainly defied the red colour scheme last Christmas.

i really hope that they achieve something mouldbreaking, sort of like channel 4's idents when they were first aired. something completely different, unexpected and unseen. bbc deserve some idents to be really proud of, they're due some anyway.

BBC1 announced their new Autumn schedule today, any news about new idents?

At a quick glance I cannot spot any mention of new idents.

Not the sort of thing that would be mentioned in a seasonal press pack.
