New Look for BBC Sport

The bar at the very bottom makes a noise when it types things out... quite annoying!
I'm not too keen on the look of Grandstand.

I prefer ITV Sport now!

OT: Is there any other way of capturing images WITHOUT a TV Card?

What we've seen so far all looks very smart!

There's a couple of nice touches on the new 'vidi-printer'

- the last line deminishes in size as it scrolls up
- you can hear a crowd cheer when an entry for a goal being scored goes through!

Use a camera
Or just buy a TV card, much easier - and probably cheaper!

I find those sounds on the vidi-printer very annoying. It still types scores out very slowly too.

I think Final Score is a disaster. The graphics are awful, purple & yellow, the vidi printer is annoying with that sound effect. The ticker is awful, that spinning 'Final Score' is annoying. ITV's Goal Rush on ITV2 today (also on ITV1 from next week) is far superior.

BBC have lost the plot.

I quite like the new-look Grandstand. I'm not entirely sure about the purple & blue graphics though, but I expect they'll grow on me. I reckon they'd be better in blue, to go with the new set. Also, something tells me that the new backing bed on the classifieds is going to be VERY controversial

Oh, and no Grandstand theme on the end titles - they really are being quite daring with this relaunch!

Has anyone got any screengrabs of the Goal Rush by any chance?

I was a bit dissapointed by the vidi-printer, not as good as Sky's, can't compare ITV's because I haven't seen it.
Sky manage to fit the same info in a smaller space and it looks a lot better.
I doubt ITV's Goal Rush will be as good as Soccer Saturday though, I don't think that when it comes to sport, neither the BBC or ITV have a clue anymore.
The graphics do look a bit rubbish - they're trying to be modern... a bit too hard.
I take it The Goal Rush covers all of the goals, and not just the er... Final Scores...

Graphics design was done by BBC Media Ark... apparently.

I know what you man about music with the classified results!
I think... although I'm not 100% sure, that Sky have done this for a while now but I expect there may be a bit of a backlash at that!

I really want to see The Goal Rush - what it looks like I mean. I'm not a footie fan at all but just nice to see some new graphics... even if they are a bit garish.

Well, just before ITV News, the announcer went something like this: 'Over on the ITV Sport Channel ___________, but now on ITV1, it's the ITV News'.

So, they'll be promoting the other channels more now then!
