Apparently there will be a new look for Football Focus at least on BBC One at midday. I wonder if they will have a brand new studio as some had predicted the whole of BBC Sport would have.....
Also, will there be any other changes this afternoon..... we shall wait and see!!
Yeah, some of you may remember me announcing a new look to BBC Sport's studio. I havn't spoken to my mate about it for a while but the timing works out quite well. He did say it was finished quite a while ago so, yep, could see the new studio today. Know nothing about new presentation but I wouldn't put it past them.
Excellent set!! If it's all one big studio maybe they should pan over to the Grandstand bit just before 12.50 for a 'look at today's highlights'!

The new set is really good... Grandstand also has new titles and a remixed theme tune - anyone capture it? It's live from Ascot today so we may not see the desk area (if there is one) until the Football Half-times at 4pm.
Also, apparently a brand new look Final Score so new music, graphics expected at 4.45.

About time BBC Sport got some decent graphics. Most of them are animated as well - obviously been taking a leaf out of SKY Sport's book. The 'swoosh' at the top looks like it will change colour according to the sport. Racing is red, Grandstand captions are silver. Judging by the BBC's amount of sport that means another two colours to see! Is the font they are using Gill Sans though?

I do like the new graphics - the racing ones which we've seen most of look good. I can't wait to see the new football graphics - will be interesting to see!
I'm interestd to see what happens for final score - as the BBC always used to cut across to pictures from the main grounds, but presumably they can no longer do this, or can they?
I remember I think 2 years ago ITV2 showed the same end of game pictures on Football First, so presumably there is/was some pooling agreement?

And I've just noticed that the latest footie score now appear in a box caption on the top of the screen - about the position the 'BBC News Live' caption used to appear on the news after the relaunch in 99.
Now more squeezing the screen up from the bottom from now on then..

The BBC have obviously pushed all the stops out now they haven't got the actual football. Not sure about the colours in the football screens but I like the idea (borrowed from Sky no doubt!) and think it's really good!
Is the font they are using Gill Sans though?
