Have the regions been using the same version of the swimming ident throughout the week or have they used both versions (not that it matters really - the difference is negligible!)

Why the flip isn't BBC ONE Wales using it? Brecon Beacons and all...

Incidentally, there is an episode of the new Doctor Who spin off in about 5 minutes showing on BBC1 entitled "For Tonight We Might Die". So which ident will be aired before this considering death being the main subject here.

I suspect it will be exercise class!

Only me wondering what happens if the top story is that an exercise class teacher drowns whilst mountaineering?

its the most incompetent rebrand in television history, the fact that they reverted to their old ident rather proves how ill-conceived these oneness idents are.

Not quite the most incompetent, If you include the BBC 2 rebrand that lasted all of 2 junctions back in 2011. Though you could of course argue that was less incompetent as at least it got pulled!

Which rebrand lasted for two junctions? I must have missed that.

BBC TWO in October 2008. The precursor to the June 2009 pres update.

I think it was using the 2007 BBC2 idents and rather than the green teal box being used, the logo BBC was on the left hand side. I think. It was on early morning and I was still in bed then more than likely.

I may be slightly confused with the dates, but the rebrand IIRC launched at 6am, someone high up in the channel hadn't approved them, so it was back to Seascape, Zoetrope et al by 11am! The BBC2 current end board style also came in that day and was retained however.
