I wonder if the Capes/Kites idents are going to be shown for serious programming like this edition of Panorama permanently,or until some more oneness idents are created that are suitable?
If it's the latter, then I could understand, but if it's the former, then both BBC One and BBC Two are in urgent need of a cohesive on screen presentation that is consistent and strong.
you've got to wonder why they didn't just wait a couple of weeks to get a couple of extra idents made so they at the very least had a cohesive look.

Exactly - it would be far from the first time a channel has switched from Christmas back to it's regular idents only to relaunch completely a couple of weeks later. Indeed I think ITV have done that 2-3 times over the last 15 years.
So does this mean BBC One have switched back to the circles for every junction?
No. Sea Swimmers was played out at the 9pm junction - its important to note that the BBC ONE circles are only there with sombre and extremely serious programming.
