BBC Oneness - idents and presentation

Very interesting article. I assume the author of the website is referring to TV Forum and that other DS one when he refers to various online forums.

The ident mentioned featuring a number of trees sounds even more depressing and mind numbingly boring than what we've already got...

Firstly who designcsi.com, there have only been around for one week? I noticed that page five days ago and just wrote it off as some person blog due to the lack of other stuff that not on the website.

Might at least give them something to introduce the news with.

Now you reminded me of something.

Music production house Gari Media Group's This Is Home package was commissioned or licensed by Gannett (now TEGNA) back in 2013 for their stations. The roll out of the music coincided with new graphics and featured ad spots with lyrics to their news theme. They each rolled out promos based on the same music used in their newscasts. In my mind these spots essentially comunicate oneness and community.

WUSA the CBS and flagship of the station group. Find it nice they included my Baltimore Ravens in a promo for a D.C. station (different media markets). I assume they'd included The Ravens because they were the "World Champions" (hate that nomenclature for a US only sport) by winning the Super Bowl that year and that we are extremely close (in media market distance) compared to others.

According to Wikipedia, the "Forest" ident (which is just trees, no people and no "oneness" tagline), is the sombre/obit ident. So, it would appear that the previous rumours of Kite being retained is untrue.

Ref? Its more likely the moon has retained. I think thats a load of old crap.

Why do you think it's crap? It wouldn't be hard to film a shot of the forest whilst filming the Brecon Beacon ident. It is possible they could have filmed the forest for sombre/obit purposes.

Equally, where is the ref that Moon/Kites have been retained? The BBC have confirmed the Brecon Beacon ident(s) have been filmed and the Wiki link in my post gives a good plausible description of the ident content.

Which in this case, knows as much as everyone else! The speculated forest ident could be crap and non-existent. But it could also be true. But, there is no confirmation anywhere that ANY of the circles idents have been retained either. In fact, all rumours and speculative comments are equally as crap as each other!
