Yet again, it's so s***e, it'll take five minutes to make on Sony Vegas...

With that being your third mock in 24 hours of this new ident package, I think we get your point.

I think it's enough for now. The set is extremely uninspired that anyone can go on their PC and create an easy BBC ONE mock.

I think everyone gets it here at this point.

Can't wait for NI to break ranks and do their own thing. I'm sure they will!

BBC NI really should have a veto on all presentation.

And in the spirit of "oneness" it's amazing they allowed these to get to air without at least having local variations in place for the nations.

But you're assuming that the Great I Ams in London, with their heads up their own arses, give a fiddlers about the opinions of the great unwashed in Glasgow, Cardiff and Belfast.

I don't think he made any of those mocks, did he?

What Critique means however is that I've posted enough examples of how easy mocks of the 'Oneness' idents are to make, and how everyone here gets the idea.

I agree that these are the worst idents ever to be shown on British mainstream TV. The hall where the Zumba class takes place looks hideous on screen, at least the hall used for Salsa during R&M's era looked good on screen.

I disagree that a new ident package should feature red; a circle, or a centred BBC One logo. I believe a complete change is necessary, especially as there's only so much that can be done with a circle. Likewise, the BBC One logo was bottom centred during the balloon era and it looked good.

These 'idents' are shockingly poor, however, and I'm stunned that they're actually on screen. UTV's idents featuring location strap lines were first class when compared to this package. No soundtrack and messy on screen, it's gone from bad to worse at the Beeb.

It's also getting a mention on this morning's Breakfast. For some reason though the clip of the ident they're showing looks like a low resolution copy off a tv recording, rather than a high res clean copy.

You'd have thought BBC News would have been supplied with a decent copy to help promote it, and ideally yesterday rather than the day after. Dan Walker looked a bit like he was struggling to keep a straight face when reading the press release, as if he was thinking "what the..." when seeing the clip.

I did wonder whether only 2 out of the "about 20 different idents" had been shown/filmed to allow them to get feedback. It also avoided articles about large amount of money being spent, and potentially allows them to axe the idea before all have been filmed.

Nice thought but I highly doubt it.

I can read too much into it being on the BBC news site, but it feels like this is the charm offensive and they're here to stay whatever happens.
