I think what he's saying is one more defection and even the DUP won't be able to prop her up any more.

Thing is that there can be a minority government and really there is one now as the DUP agreement is informal rather than a coalition. So losing one more MP wouldn't mean that suddenly the government collapses or the PM resigns

We might get a BBC one special out of it or even a ITN newsflash Wink

Even if all other Tory MPs defected I doubt the PM would resign!

What are the chances of programme change this afternoon because of the growing split with remain mps?

If they broke into news every time someone here said they should do, then they might as well scrap BBC One and just air the News Channel.

I think "smashed it" is going a bit far. At least in terms of how it was executed for television. The idents alone can't be fully blamed, the surrounding presentation is a mess also.

Clearly BBC Creative are utterly deaf to how disliked Oneness really is. BBC One is not in a great place generally at the moment, but nobody seems to want to recognise it. The use of the past tense does, however, suggest Oneness might be on the way out.

If you asked the average person on the street would they really have an opinion on it?

It may be that they were given a certain brief and, in the view of whoever composed that tweet, they "smashed" that particular brief.
