I expect that rating to rise considerably. I chose not to watch it as it didn't seem my thing, but based on feedback I caught up on iPlayer and thought it was great.
It is the sort of show you'd expect to find on Netflix rather than BBC One though - it probably would have been a better fit for an iPlayer exclusive that could build an audience by word of mouth.

Can't see anything on Twitter about anything happenning outside. Wonder if they had to pre-rec an interview during daylight or something like that?

Not helped by Scotland scheduling it at 10.45pm.
I watched it and while it wasn't BBC Four standard, it was enjoyable enough.

Just 2.6m watched Danny Dyer's show on BBC1 last night. No surprise really as although it was an enjoyable watch it clearly wasn't for the typical BBC1 audience - though arguably that's exactly why it should have been on BBC1.

Protesting about what ? Danny Dyer's show ?
There was a protest outside the BBC that was going at around 6pm which was quite loud when I walked past - far too close to their TX time I expect so it would have been safer to cover the windows.

Ha, I think that's actually got quite a good audience reception hasn't it? I think I was reading that somewhere.
No, there's lots of groups that like to turn up unannounced, and quite regularly, to make their point, usually about an international issue that they want the BBC to either make more of, or that the BBC isn't covering 'fairly' enough. Which is usually a by-word for saying that the corporation isn't just spouting out their particular version of events, in my opinion. Not saying that the BBC gets it right every time, but I do think the world would be a worse place without it.
Everyone has their right to complain, and for that complaint to be heard, but maybe not by putting staff and output at risk.
