Same old idents.

Yeah, the Skaters ident.

I saw the Swingers one.

I’ve never understood why they go back to normal idents immediately after Midnight.

Or indeed on New Years Day at all and they don’t wait until the 2nd

Did they ditch the Oneness tagline btw? I closed out of the tab way quickly for me to process it.

I think they mean Swing Dancers - that was the one I saw too

Why was I imagining a line up of middle aged couples with nipple tassels and a bowl of keys? Perhaps it’s time for bed.

It was always going to be. Why did you think otherwise?

I didn't, but some people here clearly did.

I'm pretty sure they did used to wait until the 2nd, up until when they did 'Love 2013' in, erm, 2013.

The only way it would change is if they use the creative heads of BBC2

Well look on the bright side at least. they've not made more of the Oneness idents, so maybe it's simply going to idle about for another year.

Generally felt meh about the Christmas presentation, but then that rather matches my feeling about the BBC's offerings this year. The best thing was the Christmas Tapes doc on BBC four.

The thing is, even though they're not the best idents in the world, it is nice to have an air of familiarity.

To be honest, I've got quite used to them now, don't really mind them. Sure they could be something a lot better instead, but yeah they're familiar and established now
