I believe it is a contractual requirement as part of making the UK series that they have to show the US version (hence showing it overnight). It's a bit stupid though, because it's from 2014. Anyone who is interested in the US version has probably seen it by now.

What sort of contractual arrangement involves them being allowed to show it overnight 4 years later. It doesn’t seem a very strict arrangement!

Didn't BBC Three use to show the American The Apprentice? I seem to remember the finale went on for hours (it may have been originally live) and Trump hadn't even made his mind up who was the winner on the show. To believe I sat through at least 90 minutes of filler that time and eventually decided sod this, I'll look the winner up online instead.

I remember watching The Apprentice USA on BBC One, mainly because Trump's explanation of the boardroom meeting process was so long-winded and convoluted it was actually funny.
