And the award for the most out of date branded clothing goes to... BBC Look East. This from last night's evening bulletin. I mean did no one look at that high vis and think... that logo doesn't look right? 21 years out of date, an antique and still going strong.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were able to route the network feed via a device capable of doing a Sky+ style live pause to delay it until they were ready?

Yes that is a basic function of every video server - to be able to playback a clip as you're recording it. Of course they'd do that normally to timeshift a programme they were showing later than network

It's common these days, especially in news to record across feeds continuously on a loop so nothing is missed. Wouldn't be surprised if the nations have a similar setup across network just in case

A second version of the Volunteer Lifeguards ident played out at 6am. Here are the first airings on network, NI, Scotland and Wales.

Thanks for the clip, the ident just like every other oneness ident is awful.

Not quite, it was shown before The Apprentice USA at around 1.20 this morning.

Talking of which find it odd they show three eps of Celeb Apprentice after midnight on Monday night's then rest of the week go to BBC News. Would surely make more sense to spread the eps across three nights and go to BBC News later.

It didn't occur to me that they'd launch an ident at 1.20am - even if it is Oneness. Lesson learnt! Thanks for the correction.

I see at the end of Celebrity Masterchef trailer they’re using a kaleidoscopic endboard effect like Jackanory titles from the seventies.

That ident needs a proper long play out.

I don’t know if this happens elsewhere, but BBC Yorkshire have taken to using the Taekwondo one before the news lately.

All that shouting, particularly the first one which sounds like something cut off from a previous trailer, is awful.

A promo from the BBC Sport Centre with Olly Foster (one of the NC sport presenters) looking ahead at the weekend's sport after the One Show on BBC One just now, something I've not seen before. Stood by the screens in the news channel sport studio with images from the various events on, ending with a graphic showing the line-up... using the OLD (black/gold) graphics.
