Great, my tweet is part of their headline. Thanks for not asking, Daily Mail.

I'm pretty sure they don't have to

I'm sure they don't have to, but a simple ask would still be appreciated.

Exactly - the 90s set and the balloon era were fantastic, and circles wasn't too bad either although the surrounding presentation may have been lacking. In hindsight even the Rhythm and Movement idents were well produced and had a strong visual identity and distinctive soundtrack - the main reason we hated them was because of what they replaced and the **** we were spun about the globe, on which we all live, not being "inclusive" enough.

Well said, Brekkie. I agree completely. I grew up with the 1991-97 ident (although I was alive during the later COW days, I don't really remember it that well) and thought it was mesmerizing at the time. Then the Balloons came along and completely blew me away. In all honesty, I never detested the Dancers or Circles - I actually quite liked both sets and the music was the highlight for me. But today we have most certainly reached a new low. I'd rather they had just kept the Circles for another 5 years than replace them with this crap.

Is it really as bad as you lot are making out? Some overreaction on here today for sure

Yes. This wouldn't get approval at my work, for sure.

Wait a minute - is this a year long "experiment" or not? If there's a time limit on these blasted things, I think I could learn to tolerate them (just).

Would that not be overreacting to 'overreacting'?

Same layout apart from the endboard/Menu background tweak.

Another excellent example of how anyone can film a home video, slap in a logo, and call it an 'ident'.

I think we need a multichannel to completely take the piss out of the new BBC ONE 'idents'...E4 anyone?
