I'm surprised the following news, announced on Monday, has gone under the radar:

So, basically, the BBC get rid of Channel Controllers, then recruit channel executives which are in effect channel controllers? Or am I just being cynical?

Has the general attitude to those idents changed since Oneness came out? If I think of BBC One, I think of those or the circles. Sadly I'm just a little too young to really remember the balloons.

I imagine a channel executive is cheaper than a controller. That's how it usually works.

I used to be a marketing executive. A marketing assistant would report to me, I would report to a controller who would then report to the regional director. And if they wanted to shift cash around they'd make any number of those positions redundant.

The overall picture seems to be very mixed with regards to Rhythm and Movement. On the one hand, more people seem to have had a slightly more positive view of the idents following the Oneness launch.

On the other hand, you’ve got some who still have a low opinion of Rhythm and Movement 16 years on.

When you look back at Rhythm and Movement, there were, compared to Oneness, some good production values. The Tango Ident was very good. I think had the Circles followed the balloons and then R&M followed the circles, the judgement might be somewhat kinder.

Whats that werid audio thing? Musik? Also why is the camera moving and in slow motion and cinematic.

Idents should be almost mute and as dull as possible!

Who the hell commissioned Doodlebugs? It has to be the worst television programme I have ever seen in my life.
