Primetime gameshows have died a death. Before long the only primetime gameshow on BBC One will be Pointless Celebs. Nothing new seems to stick now hence why there is talk of a return of The Weakest Link & Millionaire.

There's so many soaps in prime time there's barely a place to slot in a gameshow now!

- clearly going to cost more than a lottery game show but probably better the BBC focus on their strengths rather than put the money in light entertainment. Also think just as they get away with repeating Mrs Browns Boys in the slot they could probably use the slot for drama reruns there - Peaky Blinders would fit well in that slot for example.

Peaky Blinders wouldn't do well on BBC One, it's very much a BBC Two shows and in the age of boxsets and streaming, repeating dramas would be considered a no no.

Rubbish. There is very little between BBC2 and BBC1 drama nowadays and still a place for reruns on TV. Peaky Blinders has recently found a new audience on Netflix and a rerun in what is often a faifly dead slot could build an audience for the next series. I think its far betfer to rerun shows like that than just use the likes of New Tricks as schedule filler.

BBC One continuity just introduced the news with Alina Jenkins instead of Shaun Ley.

Alina presented the weather forecast that followed.

Issues with BBC One Network continuity this evening?

EastEnders credits had no credit squeeze at all and not even a VO. And the next programme, Classic Mary Berry had a generic 'This is BBC One' announcement.

University Challenge had a generic "This is BBC Two" announcement.

Hopefully just a fire alarm in presentation or something.

Announcers don’t tend to break news, unless it’s something to do with President Zuma.

Seems to be back to normal on BBC Two with continuity over the University Challenge credits.

No ECP on BBC One, but the news trail was there and a normal announcement into the next programme.

BBC One showing an episode of Vicar Of Dibley in tribute to Emma Chambers at the moment - 4:3 pillarboxed on both SD and HD. Sound seemed a bit off at the start as well, not quite stereo?
