Because they said it was a one year project. I think most of us assumed they'd be off air after that year, when the reality is they were made throughout the year and will air indefinitely.
ITV News don't play the music from the display, which is half of the enjoyment as it's intended to match some of the firework sequences. So their broadcast is always rather lacklustre.
