I made a post ages ago saying that Oneness will continue based on Wikipedia's comments. More importantly, what will they do with BBC2 now BBC1's endboards are the same?

You do realise that Wikipedia was probably written by someone from here having heard it on here, and then read Wikipedia, who then mentioned it here...

It’s funny though, you’d think presentation would be one of the most important things now streaming has come along with prevalent branding (e.g. on Netflix) though the main 5 channels seem to be doing the reverse of this. Feels a bit like a death wish at this point...

Yes, people tune in to see the idents, offering programming people will want to watch over what streaming services have to offer is just an afterthought Rolling Eyes

There was never any suggestion that Oneness was just for 2017 anywhere outside this forum either, but everyone seemed to believe it (and now seem to be suprised and disapointed they're continuing into 2018).

We could well see some new Oneness idents that were already filmed finally airing tonight.

In NI we had the canoes in Killyleagh. Did the Network get a new ident?

Oddly, NI used network-branded versions of the BBC One trails in that junction.

That's shockingly bad! How long is this farce going to go on for... and as for BBC Two, how old are those crusty idents now?

The BBC channels are in a huge 'Ident'ity crisis at the moment. I wish someone with some balls would find some bottle and just revamp the whole family of channels in one go. I've seen better idents on local TV. It's nothing short of a disgrace. Where's the attention to detail?

Cardiff showed it with clean audio to 14" mid-junction, before opting out thereafter. Can't be bothered to upload, it's too drab an ident.

That's shockingly bad!

It's standard Oneness fare, looks just as bad as when I saw it a month ago.

Concert overrunning again, but then again it happens every year.

Delayed wait for our first MMXVIII copyright!

I'd rather anything that confirms the return of "oneness" to be permanently delayed.

Frankly, I'd rather them revert to the 1946 'batwings' than the contrived rubbish that they used last year. It's a meaningless play on words, and tells me nothing more than that the channel is intended to be "cheap & cheerful".

Not good for the premier channel of a national broadcaster with a budget of £1.3Billion.

MMXVIII copyright slate just then, with a promo for McMafia, which sounds like a McDonald's dish if you ask me. Too many Drama promos.

That's the point Smile

"The group used to sell its name to different criminal organisations across Russia - all of whom not only had to pay for use of the term "Chechen Mafia" but also had to promise they would be suitably ruthless, to maintain the group's reputation."

"The mafia had become a chain, like McDonald's - a McMafia."

"The whole point of the show - the suffix Mc - is that the corruption is global. The tentacles reach boardrooms and governments, so the corruption is by no means limited to Russia."

"I think for all of us it's been an extraordinary eye-opener as far as how far-reaching this corruption is, and how complicit we are. Misha gave us amazing facts - like a quarter of all tomatoes we use are farmed using slave labour, and most of the mobile phones we use have conflict minerals in them, which have been mined by children.

"The extent to which we are all complicit in this corruption is extraordinary, and terrifying."
