I'm not sure if it's been mentioned elsewhere but in Friday's episode of the One Show they included a film about recreating the 12 days of Christmas. A lot of the scenes were shot using real people in situations, with the name on the bottom in the BBC One font it felt like some of the shots could have been what Christmas oneness Parr style would been like.

Have a look from around 20m 18s

Luckily the BBC produced the wonderful campaign that we have.

They wouldn't be able to use the Birds of a Feather one, obviously, but I see your point - they could very well be a Parr Oneness set of Christmas idents, worryingly.

That’s always shown at the end of EastEnders, if it’s not, it should be.

I'm assuming Rofters was refering to the iplayer-esque graphic?

When the CA said "If you're suffering from emotional distress..." I half-expected him to continue with "...why on Earth would you watch Christmas Day Eastenders?"

A non-stop charisma of human suffering. At least in the old days, it was entertainment, these days they have run out of ideas, so just keep repeating the same storylines, ie someone is going to die, someone is pregnant, someone is getting married, someone is having an affair, someone has money problems, someone is in hospital, someone is being bashed, and because they have already done these storylines many times over, they are making them increasingly more elaborate, to the point that they are just ridiculous. How anyone can watch on a daily basis is beyond me. Oh and to add, I was born in South-east London, and EastEnders is the most unrealistic representation of east London ever. If you ask me, they should just run a storyline where the whole square is demolished and replaced with luxury flats, and start again in Essex.

Or invite you to apply to be a scriptwriter. Only caught the last few minutes but seemed to be the usual Christmas cheer.
