Was the CA definitely live? I could well imagine them having a generic apology available for that junction going awry, as it has done previously.
There was a breakdown on BBC One about 5:50 this morning. Obviously the channel was taking BBC News at the time. However, I was surprised to see a BBC One breakdown caption appear.
It was the standard "We are sorry for the break in this programme..." slide on the festive red curtains. Then, the CA popped up to apologise.
Thought it was unusual, as on a Saturday there is no BBC One presentation from the early morning handover until around 10am. Didn't expect there to be a CA around.

Steve, yes that was Ashleigh Whitfield- this morning's announcer who even wished you a Merry Christmas mid the breakdown. We're in the chair to introduce breakfast live every morning, even when it doesn't need introducing!

Did you cap it by any chance?

The episode of Pointless Celebrities on now looks like it’s the first with this new set (and some new graphics)
Probably not the right thread, but Pointless has a new set by the looks of it. Not really sure what to make of it, its hard to judge by the picture.
New Pointless set and graphics upgrade, first peek! It looks different when the lights are on. Even the floor lights up now! pic.twitter.com/L3reMb6LhA

The trend is to now make sets using bland areas that can be lit in quite clever ways. The effects are far better. I'm sure this will look better on screen.
The studios within NBH are prime examples of this.
I'm not a fan. It looks really naff - a bit of a downgrade.

I was commenting on it after seeing it on screen. The only time it looks any good is on the wide shot.
