The Mirror say the rest of the idents haven't been shot yet.

It's interesting how the new idents haven't faced criticism yet as well.

I've not seen them on TV yet but judging by what I've seen here they look very "meh".

Erm... Why? There was nothing offensive about it!

Yes, I was a big fan of the Channel 4 rebrand from the start and have some favourites in the ITV set.

I have to say there have been some over-the-top posts in this thread in terms of language used, but I don't disagree with the sentiment.

Same here - I quite like C4's current pres package. Decent soundtrack and a recognisable symbol in the blocks.

But the daily mail has not picked up on it... yet

And it won't, because to them, and the normal folk of the UK who do not frequent this forum, the idents are (to them) completely 'meh', and will just wash over them, not really causing a reaction of any sort. Which is of course regrettable, given what they are supposed to do.

So there probably won't be any major outcries, the idents are just part of the ever increasing incoherent flotsam and jetsam that fill programme junctions these days.

Of course the BBC One HD regional hold slide has been updated:

The BBC One HD holding slide is just alternating between the two idents we've seen so far.

So that must be it, just two idents in the can so far.

It was a shame the Circles weren't allowed a proper send off with a little montage - or one more showing of some of the discarded idents. And I guess the Obit ident is those swimmers, unless they're going to play it safe and have a reworked endboard as an alternative.

Oh no, they're allowed to bring back the circles for that... I think helicoper and kites are still allowed for news by the regions.

Apologies my software having issues (again), wish it was silent though. Rolling Eyes

It makes you wonder if it was a last minute decision to update the branding for BBC One if they have launched with only two filmed. If this had been planned all along they would have made sure they had a good selection filmed and ready to air before launching. Did something go wrong? Did they just not give themselves enough time? Was this always the plan?
