Mountain Rescue to lead into Remembrance Sunday The Cenotaph. Thoughtless selection. Where's the conveyance of gravitas and poignancy in that one? Should have been Forest. Although this one conveys neither, at least it conveys a sense of calm and tranquility.

They should have had an ident like Forest but shot in a poppy field.

Any chance of this tonight for BBC2's repeat?

*

I would love to see this brought back as a special ident.

Even if that doesn’t happen, the likes of Silk, Swan and Optics are still ripe for selection. The latter three are all equally excellent in their own right.

NW would never go to the trouble of modiying it into widescreen, so it would never happen. Now, if the team in Northern Ireland were running the NW department, a reasonable likelihood I would have thought.

Retro ident alert!

The 1981 mirror globe ident broadcast on Network before Children in Need Rocks the 80's.
Rory, Custard56 and Argybargy gave kudos

NI and Wales showed their respective globe versions. Scotland used NW's globe, but with their own anno.

Yes, this was decided at the last TV Forum Annual General Members' Meeting.

Dave Jeffery created the NI version. A rather nice job - looked fantastic on a large screen.

Again, if "Oneness" isn't being used for events such as this, one can only assume its days are numbered.

I've seen Dave's BBC Flashes and I actually like them. I remember his website "Pres Heaven" and going to his clocks and pretending i'm an announcer.
