I wouldn't mind if they brought back some classic Christmas presentation for BBC 1, only problem is the best stuff was from the balloon era.
I think only BBC Two would get away with using classic idents. As much as I'd like to see it, I think there's something about One reverting to older pres that seems sacrilegious almost.
Your not looking at the facts 😉
There was suppose to be 22 to 24 idents and we have not reached that number. We have also not seen any new idents or pres in October and November.
There have deffo created another ident. But it looks like that been thrown in the bin.
And people wonder why onesness is on death door.....
September since then hasn't seen a regular addition to the Oneness set.
24 was the official number they had once stated. Although all bets are off for the next two months, it seems that the commitment to Oneness is few and far in-between

I can see it being chucked and they follow BBC Two's lead of bringing back old idents.
On that note, anyone else think we could see no new Christmas ident and they bring back last year's (rather poor) effort, or even go further back?
Debatable. Last year's Christmas set began the Oneness theme, but I can't see the creatives call off the tradition of producing a new set for Christmas.
Some here have mentioned about the circles coming back. Can't see that happening, especially with the noise they made at the start of the year about their axing.
Bringing back an old set, like the Balloon or Rhythm & Movement, should be treated as a stopgap. The real focus must be on completely overhauling both BBC One and Two.
I don't recall any 'noise' about the circles being axed. They focussed on the new package.
If it's not there just wasted public money on new ident for no good reason.
The ident you've just invented.
People here tried to justify the **** oneness idents as the BBC being unable to risk spending money on presentation of an acceptable quality in case they upset the Daily Mail. Well if that's the case they're certainly not going to risk headlines slating them for spending licence fee money just one year after the last rebrand.
If we're taking bets I'll go with the return of hippos as the first ident of the new year. I think the Strictly ident is a hint that, unfortunately, the return of circles is probably more likely than a rebrand.
