BBC Oneness - idents and presentation

By my reckoning there are 17 Oneness idents so far - more if you count the different variants of Mountain Rescuers, Wheelchair Rugby, Bog Snorkellers, Exercise Class and Swimmers. Only four were filmed in Northern Ireland. That's not over-representation is it?

Hopefully they will come to end at the end of year fingers crossed

Haven't really heard much of the new BBC One CAs, but just caught one at the 9pm junction, which sounded like something lifted out of the Radio Times!

So can we expect "Elderly Elves Association, Grimsby" and "Female Santa Group, Brighton" and "Pantomime Dame Performers, Exeter" for Christmas OneNess idents this year? The "Llama Trekkers" one is amusing because whilst bog snorkellers is a pastime each and every one of us do at weekends, I would have thought that Llama Trekking is so common, after all we all own Llamas, that there would be no impact with it at all.

In other words, if the regular Oneness idents are made up as they go along, which seems to be the case, I daresay they'll worry about Christmas a day before they're due to launch.

Well, how many have been filmed in the South of England? Not the South East, not the South West, but the South? I'll give you a clue. None. And what is the population of The South of England? Higher than Northern Ireland's I'd think. But hey, the South, the bits that belong nowhere, are always forgotten about.

If there is any degree of sense/pride the Christmas package should at least resemble the Christmas Day ones last year or a flight of fancy.

But no, Dancing Santas it is, most probably.
