That's how!

It's cold and there's something missing that I just can't put my finger on. Perhaps it's just Switzerland's lack of constitutional monarchy. Or maybe it's just the music.

I disagree. It's modern and clean, and is suited for a wide range of age groups...

If BBC One went back to a '1' logo, then this is what I hope the idents would look like.

This set is an extension of the original set, which had small but beautifully rendered CGI '1's flying through Swiss landvscapes to form a larger '1' for the logo form up.

Some work better than others though. I like the drones and camping tents, but the mass skydivers is a case of over post-production over style.

So the BBC went with an World Athletics ident, You can never tell what the BBC might do.

Fell Runners.
BBC1 NI the only Nation to launch it in the first junction, presumably as it was shot in Northern Ireland.

Nice scenery, but, like Night Kayakers, does that mean it necessarily translates into an effective ident? I think not.

Good timing for this ident to appear - thanks to the World Athletics Championships starting today.

It’s meh, though, nuff said.

As it was shot on the Mourne Mountains, it's worth pointing out that, if the news story a few days ago of those people trapped on the Mourne Mountains ended in tragedy, with fatalities, then this ident would have to have been put on hold for a short while, one would assume.

Old people don't like modern and clean. Neither do babies.

A national public broadcaster should perfectly the reflect the nation. SRF1 does that down to a T. The music has a winter-enchanted feel, the filmic-effect and story-like narrative in the idents, combined with the clean, modern style sums up Switzerland. The idents are excellent and SRF has always been pretty top notch at getting the right 'feel' with its on-screen imagery. I guess the BBC is fairly reflecting the UK at the moment. A total blo*dy mess!!

Babies don't like Zumba classes either. Best stick to CBeebies.
