Unlikely to have gone as far as the The Time The Place classic, being pre-recorded

Brilliant nod to the Ten O'Clock News fault at the start of This Week.

Or the lesser known incident on Central Weekend Live where they were taken off air two or three times during the same episode for audience members interrupting the live broadcast and a debate getting a bit too heated.

I remember watching it live at the time and I vaguely recall the show continuing afterwards with a chunk of the audience having been removed from the studio.

Technical problems on BBC One just now.

Began during the credits of the previous program, then we had the news and most of the weather with a black screen (but with the sound).

Kicked out audience member was a 'hard line activist'

The audience selection should surely try and whittle out anyone who is hard line anything.

I suspect the Daily Telegraph considers all Corbyn supporters to be hard line.

The Question Time episodes where the leaders were being questioned showed that the bookers can get an intelligent audience who are still BBC1-friendly - ie, can still produce a spark, can pin a leader down and cause some trouble for them, but still be in touch with the average punter's concerns.

Recent audiences feel like the BBC hired the person who books the Jeremy Kyle audience. At some point they need to remember they're on a publicly-funded PSB channel.

From that description it sounds like a regional opt out went wrong. Were you watching SD in England?
