Another Bog sting appeared.
It's the first Bog Snorkellers Giraffe sting (which I've added to the set on previous page), so all five have had their first sting aired. I'm kinda hoping they only have the one sting each, to be honest

I actually saw a book of Martin Parr's work today. He's a talented photogrpaher, but it's just not something that translates into video, and that's the real problem with these idents. It's basically as if you're filming a photoshoot. As I said before I don't really think you can massively blame him, he's only doing what he knows and what he's been asked to do. It's the other people behind the idea.

Agreed. I've said the same before.

He is there looking through the viewfinder with all these sequences, spending time practising the shoots and then finally filming them, so he is in a position to advise the people around him and those behind the idea that this is just not working. You may feel he is getting paid probably fairly handsomely for this gig and so may wish to keep quiet about any reservations he may have. However, he has a reputation to wish to keep in high regard. What is abundantly clear is that he isn't a cinematographer and because of this, he, perhaps, is not really able to provide any suggestions as to alternative ways to shoot. For that, you need to have the eye of a filmmaker.

Martin Parr goes up a ladder and takes a still, shows it to the DoP, who briefs the camera operator, who then goes up the ladder to film the scene.
