BBC Oneness - idents and presentation

I found it quite moving that they had a different ident for this. And including the Manchester bee was a lovely touch.

And yes, it's way more classy than the current set. Something simple like this could work really well.

It must be the first time BBC One has had a one off ident for a programme that was only shown preceding that programme for a very long time.

The only time I can think before of is 1991's airing of Batman on Christmas Day.

Both Bog Snorkellers (in particular) have sunk this Oneness crap to similar (or even worse) depths than Sea Swimmers and Exercise Class. Quite possibly the most ridiculous pair of “idents” in the BBC’s entire history. Please God, make them all history by New Year’s Day.

I thought Sea Swimmers and Exercise Class were as worse as you can get for this set.

I was proved wrong. Watching the previews for the Bog Snorkellers idents made me laugh out loud.

The rest is, well, standard fare.

What if people from abroad catch a glimpse of these idents? They're gonna think the UK is full of weird people with eccentric pastimes. I mean, when do you ever see a small group of people by a bog, dressed in the most ludicrous costumes, ready for a dip?

I haven't been on this thread since January since I don't usually watch the BBC. Bring back the hippos, for goodness sake

I think we need to get a petition going for bringing this nonsense to an immediate halt. This is just too much now. It's gone way beyond a joke.

So there is NO tennis ident then? I dont see HOW any of them can be linked to Wimbledon
