YES the Nations has a minor different versions, less black on the moving background. #

Not unless she's turned Scottish. But I am curious about who that announcer is. I believe she introduced the News Report last night too, and she sounds eerily similar to the announcer on duty on the morning of Diana's death.

There are of course many accents in Scotland, but this lady's accent certainly has features of Northern English as well as Scots. I can *see* where the Julie Hesmondhalgh comment came from, although it obviously isn't her, nor does it really sound like her.

As an amateur linguist, I'm rather interested in placing this accent - and of course identifying the lady herself!
