Tandem Cyclists. I'm sure both new idents will be played to death in the coming days.
Tandem Cyclists ident, launched 6am on Network and all BBC1 Nations except Scotland who showed Mountain Rescue (oh, you rebels, Glasgow).

One would have hoped Martin Parr would be learning on the job and making steady improvements so that all additions are worthy for use, compared with the dreadful earlier ones. Whilst some are better than others, ones such as this seem not worth the bother, IMO.
To be fair, there's only so much that can be done with the format of a group of people gathering together for 5 seconds before continuing with their activities.
I bet their did, but just couldn't muster the engey. Was it bikes or boats?

Glad I ain't the man in the front seat. The older bloke on the back seat would be closer to me than I'd be comfortable with

Scotland finally used the bikes ident going into doctors, I dont know if there is a connection here?
MM
I'm nearly sure they used it in the 10am junction earlier.
I don't know if this is common practice on BBC One Scotland between 5.55am and 5.59am but none of the trails had BBC One Scotland branding. Yet, a BBC One Scotland ident appeared at 5.59am. Seemed rather odd.

Is that slot still technically a simulcast of the BBC News Channel, or does the output differ on BBC One?

It differs on BBC One on weekdays. BBC One Wales and BBC One NI run locally branded trails in this slot (weekdays).
